About the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Programme

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) programme at London South Bank University aims to bring top employees and university resources to business. We believe the university can benefit from being an active partner with business. Equally, we believe business can benefit from utilizing the often untapped resources available within the university.

In 1980, LSBU began its first KTP programme and has since grown to the largest KTP programme in London. We have successfully completed hundreds of projects and currently have over 37 active projects. Please read the case studies on this web site to hear stories of our knowledge transfer partnerships.

The KTP programme is widely regarded as the most successful grant-funding initiative available to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK today. The Centre for Knowledge Transfer, which is part of the research and business development office at LSBU, implements all KTP programmes.
